Next Sunday was the 20th anniversary of my marriage with Ann.

I fell in love with Ann in the university, and she was really gentle and smart. We got married soon after graduation?though I was quite poor then. The next day, when I opened my eyes, my head hurt badly. My mother, sitting beside my bed, fell asleep. I realized it was her who brought me home last night when seeing her messy hair. A beam of sunlight shone on her wrinkly and tired face, which suddenly made me moved and wanted to cry. I knew she was the person who really cared about me in this world.

The whole week, I was ill in bed. I recovered quickly with my mother’s good care.

“You know, if someone doesn’t love you anymore, it is completely useless of you to still hold on. If you do love him, you should let him go to find his true happiness, and give yourself a chance to find the person who really loves you! It is why I threw away your Tiffany necklace. I don’t hope you are self-defeating!” My mother said to me carefully one night. I just gave my most brilliant smile to her.
