A Unique Proposal

Friday, January 8th, 2010

There comes a time, hopefully, in every woman’s life when a man will ask her to marry him. This is an article of a unique proposal. I hope you enjoy it!

Let me begin by first writing of how I proposed to my wife. I had given her a promise ring probably 2 years into our dating and told her that I would be faithful to her. A year passed and I invite her over so that we can go out on a date. As she pulled into the driveway, I met her down by her car. We started walking up the steps to the house and I made up a story about us guys talking about our wives rings as work today. So I asked her to let me see her promise ring. As this took place we walked upstairs and proceeded into my bedroom where her eyes met a big beautigul vase full of lillies. Some romantic “baby-making” music was playing in the background and a note was sitting by the vase of flowers. As she was reading the note, I put her promise ring into my pocket and took the diamond engagement ring out of my pocket and slide it onto her finger ever so gently. She didn’t even look because she was focused on the note I had written her. After she got done reading she finally looked down and she realized it wasn’t her promise ring that was on her finger anymore. I got down on one knee and proceeded to ask her to marry me but the words came fumbling out because she started crying and it made me cry. She said yes and we went on a date that night. The night was one to remember and will always be in my memories. I’d say that was a unique proposal.

We finally set our wedding date to May 17, 2008 and the wedding plans had seemed like they’d begun before I had proposed to her. We were excited. She picked out a dress really quickly and regreted it because she found another one that she loved even more. As the days passed, that dress looked more and more beautiful, so she ended up buying that one too. We are still trying to sell her original one. She picked five bridesmaids to be in the wedding and I had five groomsmen. We bought wedding jewelry and bridal jewelry from Silverland Jewelry & Gifts in Raleigh, NC. My soon-to-be wife picked out a tin cup necklace for each of her bridesmaids. I think that the wedding jewelry and bridal jewelry were the last things that we did in preperation for the wedding.

The day of the wedding finally came and it was as special as the moment I had proposed to her. I am such a sucker and cried as I was making my vows to my wife. We have it on camera so I never hear enough of how I cried at my wedding. I guess it’s cool because my wife said she loved it. Who knew that I would cry and my wife wouldn’t!?

I hope that this article would inspire someone lucky man to propose to his princess and if you have a unique proposal, please share it with me. Best Wishes, Kendall.

An Unforgettable Valentine’s Day

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Now I have already been thirty years old. Of course, I have got married. I am lucky to have a happy family. My husband loves me very much and my daughter is very lovely.

In fact, I had made a boyfriend named Jack before I met my husband. I still remember that Jack liked to buy me chocolate and flowers on Valentine’s Day. In the beginning, I was very happy to see him buy me those. However, after a few times, I felt that he had no sincerity. He did not want to spend time choosing me a different present before Valentine’s Day. I could not feel his care. So I left him and decided to look for my own happiness. After two months, I knew my husband, David. When we met each other firstly, I did not like him very much. I thought that he was very proud and not polite. In fact, I misunderstood him. At that time, we worked in different companies but on the same floor. We often met each other, so we could learn more about each other. Bit by bit, I got to like him. On our first Valentine’s Day, he gave me an unforgettable experience. We made it seven o’clock to have dinner together. After dinner, he took a light blue box out of his pocket. He opened the box. There was a wedding ring in it. I was very surprised that he should pop the question. I really could not believe it was true. I was too excited to say nothing. He said, “Will you marry me? The Tiffany wedding ring stands for my love. I love you, my dear.” I cried and accepted the ring. Since then, I have liked Tiffany. Tiffany has special meanings to me. At last, we had a happy family.

In marriage life, the most important is love, I believe. On Valentine’s Day every year, my husband gives me a surprise. He gives me the feelings that he loves me and that he cares about me. So don’t forget to spend Valentine’s Day with your lover no matter how busy you are.

A Special Gift

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Next Sunday was the 20th anniversary of my marriage with Ann.

I fell in love with Ann in the university, and she was really gentle and smart. We got married soon after graduation?though I was quite poor then. Ann just accompanied me to go through all kinds of difficulties all theses years. We had our lovely children, and lived a normal and quite life. Really appreciating her devotion and love for me, I decided to send her something special this time.

But it was really difficult for me to find something special since Ann seemed to be in lack of nothing. And I had always sent her flowers, chocolates and other very common gifts before.

I was so anxious when our anniversary was to come, because I was still in search for a satisfactory and special gift. One night, when I was hanging around in the street, looking for a gift, I saw the Tiffany store. It occurred to me that I should buy a Tiffany ring for my wife, as I recalled that my wife said there would be no regret for a woman in her life if she owned a Tiffany ring when she looking through a magazine showing some Tiffany rings.

At the time we got married, I didn’t have enough money to buy her an expensive ring. Ann just smiled and told me I could send her a good one when I became rich. I almost forgot that and now was the right time for her to get a valuable Tiffany ring. I entered the Tiffany, picked a very beautiful Tiffany diamond ring and took it home happily.

Soon, the day came. When I came back home after work, I saw a table of delicious food and Anne sitting there, smiling to me. Suddenly I was just moved and took out the case in which there lied the Tiffany diamond ring and gave it to her.

She was so excited and happy after opening the case: “Wow, my god! Tiffany diamond ring! It is gorgeous, darling! I love you, my darling!”

I helped her wear the Tiffany ring and we just hugged in happiness!
